The HUB is a new site created by Witness, a human rights group that seeks to create “the world’s first participatory media site for human rights.” At the site, people can post human rights video and words as a way of bringing violations to public attention and mobilizing action.
A great example of what this site can do is this video from Burma. At a time when the military junta has prevented journalist from covering events and has cut or severely limited phone and Internet access, the HUB is a source of images of the protests that are on-going.
